My name is Melissa Cannell. I am originally from Utah, but I consider myself a Coloradan at heart. Reading has been my escape for a long time, and especially for 2020. Due to COVID-19 canceling many of my regular activities, I am left with a lot of time on my hands. So, I thought I’d begin a book blog of what I love to read. My favorite genres include paranormal romance, fantasy, and historical fiction.
I adore European vampires like Deborah Harkness’s Matthew Clairmont and Elizabeth Hunter’s Giovanni Vecchio, and I’ll admit I have a special place in my heart for Stephenie Meyer’s Edward Cullen. That won’t change; however, I have discovered a new distraction named James Fraser. Yes, I have joined the ranks of the Outlander fans! I do appreciate a tall, strong, red-headed Scotsman who truly loves his wife. Swoon. My other paranormal character favorites include werewolves, angels, demons, fairies, and witches.
